Nick Saban was offered 100 million dollars

I was convinced that Finebaum was just rehashing BS rumors. I didn't think there was any way that Texas offered anywhere close to that much.

But Saban was asked about it at Media Days this morning, and his response suggested that the story wasn't inaccurate.

Finebaum also claimed that Tennessee offered Kirby Smart the head coaching job before Butch Jones even though Dave Hart's stated criteria was someone with head coaching experience and there was nothing to indicate the two parties ever met face to face. Finebaum also went on a lengthy rant against Lane Kiffin last year after he was fired by USC but hasn't uttered a word about him since he was hired by Saban...This is just what Finebaum does; he exists solely to further boost the egos of Alabama fans.

He plays both sides. He killed Alabama and stroked Auburn during thr Shula years.

Jamie Newberg seems to think differently and has invited Finebaum on his radio show to defend what he calls a $100m myth.

Wrong. He exists solely to further boost his own ego. If his show were somewhere else, he would be railing/fawning over another set of schools.

It would seem (if true) that this is getting out of hand with coaches salaries and further creates a big argument for players getting paid.

No. I'm here to help morons come out of the closet and be at peace with themselves. Now that you are out, don't you feel better?

So that's big money to you

No, that's the point of that saying. You see, when someone spends a small amount of money on a gift such that the gift itself does not convey a very high level of respect/love/etc., the gift giver says "well, its the thought that counts".

I think I have dumbed it down as much as possible. If you still don't understand, let me know and I will try again.
