Nick Chubb Missed Practice Yesterday

Tennessee has played one great half of football this year. The second half versus Va Tech was more of an implosion by them than an explosion by us.

I expect Georgia to stack the box and dare Dobbs to beat them deep. He hasn't consistently shown the ability to do that. I expect Georgia to run more than they have lately. They seem to have gotten away from their bread and butter. With our depleted linebacking core we could be vulnerable to the short passing game as well.

I think this will be a field goal type game. There isn't much difference between Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia this season. Dobbs is the key. He has the potential to be quite a bit more potent than Eason or Appleby as a senior with incredible running ability. He is the best running quarterback at UT we've ever had, that includes the Artful Dodger and Tee Martin. I didn't realize coming out of high school that he was as athletic as he is. He's a little stiff sometimes, but the guy can roll once he gets up to speed, and he runs with deceptive power.

Streater was better runner than Holloway. Tee was just too big for most cats to tackle.

That's an interesting perspective for a couple of reasons that weren't apparent at the time. One, the turnovers except for one were forced and a result of good D. Two, VT's D is very, very good. The only blot on their stats so far was ECU that had some big plays after the game was already out of hand.

Maybe. But he DID just show it against one of the best pass D's in the country. I seriously doubt they'll do what you say.... but hope that they do.

Maybe they'll do just that. But this is a team that has only had big success running the ball against UNC this year.... a team that is TERRIBLE at run D. UGA has problems up front. UT's problems were mostly personnel and mistakes. UGA has questionable talent and skill.

Seriously? :lolabove:

You just watched the same UF game I did and think there's not much difference between those two teams? UT was the better team.... and it wasn't NEARLY as close as the score.

PS- Dobbs and the O should be able to move the ball against UGA's D all day. The key is UT's DL. If they are disruptive then UGA will have a VERY long day.

we're in the meat of our schedule. you don't hold back.

if they go in to this with a mindset like they did against App or Ohio, or in "protection mode" that's coaching malpractice.

you go in with the goal being to look like what we did in the 2nd half last week, period.

Totally agree... but Butch is conservative. I'd love to see Berry house the kickoff, commencing a beatdown worse than the one OM put on the pups, but I think the home crowd will keep them in it.
