Nice win but time to look to UCLA

They say the greatest improvement in teams occurs between the first and second games. Considering the work habits of Kiffin and staff and his brief post game comment on TV, I think you can probably expect improvement by several orders of magnitude.

In spite of the big numbers, there are things they can improve on both lines and the kicking game. I think the QB's both looked sharp. The RB's looked great 1 through 4. The WR's are still a work in progress but were good.

I was slightly disappointed that the DL didn't dominate even more than they did. I would have liked to have seen more consistent pressure from the 4 man rush. The secondary was as good as advertised IMO. The LB's were a pleasant surprise from my perspective. I thought they played very well.

Oh btw, I think UT will score over 40 against UCLA and win by at least 2 TD's. Just an opinion based on last year and the performances 9/5.

UCLAs defense is very good. Offense not so much. If we can establish the run early, we win comfortably. If we struggle to run effectively and have to rely on the passing game it will be tight, because they have a decent pass rush and good secondary. The battle in the trenches will be much more tough, but we'll start pulling out in the second half.

I can see us winning by 2 TDs, and I can also see it being close, depending on what happens above.

Oh yeah, if we match our 3 TOs from yesterday it will definitely be a close game.

To be honest, I'll be disappointed with anything less than a double digit win over the Bruins.
