"If you want to come play for UT, then you'd come, but if you don't want to come and play at UT, then there's no point in begging you," he said. "That's not what Tennessee's about. If you want to play for Tennessee and you want to be a part of that tradition, then you'd be a part of it.

Love this and this is what we need!!!!!!!!

Wish more kids saw it this way. Unfortunately, too many of them look at college ball as just a stepping stone to the next level. What's even more unfortunate is the small percentage that actually make it there.

My favorite quote from the article and exactly how I feel:

"Just being there and listening to the sound of the coaches' voices and walking out in the stadium and being part of that just gives me chill bumps," he said. "You get excited, and if you're not getting chill bumps when you're there, there's got to be something wrong with you."

Everyone should know to check out the TFP by now. Those great reads are written by Tennessee beat writer Patrick Brown, a UT alum.

Whatever you do, don't call Clint Stoerner the Ray Finkle of college football. He gets very upset, I know this from personal experience. Lol

I'll second this, the entire sports staff of the TFP is top notch. Also Patrick is a must follow on Twitter

Great read! I'm not looking for a NC this year but I believe we will see a major turnaround in the attitude with this team now.

LOVE IT! This is not only a great piece on Sanders, it confirms even more that the new coaches ARE connecting with student-athletes better than the last one. I can recall exactly ZERO stories written during Dooley's years that ended with,

"You get excited, and if you're not getting chill bumps when you're there, there's got to be something wrong with you."

CHILL BUMPS...Go Vols!
