I haven't seen it on the threads, but I hear that Bates has some injury(ies). I think that he is doing OK, but not sure he will break into being a starter. from what I hear (no sources quoted) he is happy that he can contribute with special teams play and is fine with that role...... He has other aspirations. He has great football IQ.

I want him to continue to contribute and wish him the best during his tenure at UT and hope that he fulfills his goals and ours and LOVE that he will be a VFL!!!!

.................... I will add that from all that i have heard, he is a GREAT kid!
