Being in B1G country, the Indystar is the paper of selected (not my choice, but what's available...another story for another day)...they have a nice article today about Maggitt and his first days with the Colts.

Sounds like his attitude towards the game has not diminished. Hope he can stay healthy...if so, the Colts look to be a team where he can do some great things.

Will patience pay off for Maggitt, Colts?

They have very little in the pass rush department, he has a real chance to help.

Curt has had an unusual about of bad luck in his football career so it would be great to see the guy get a break for goodness sakes !

Thanks for sharing.

However, I hate it when the author inserts something negative that doesn't really have anything to do with the story. "Maggitt’s draft stock might or might not have been affected by a pending federal lawsuit in which he’s mentioned. The suit alleges Tennessee had a “hostile sexual environment” and claims Maggitt punched a former teammate who assisted a woman who accused one of Maggitt’s close friends of raping her"

AGREED 1000% !!!
Hence my earlier comment about not my choice of papers...but it's all that is available in the area.

IF Curt can stay healthy, with his work ethic, I have no doubt that he will eventually play significant snaps in the League. He was easily one of the biggest factors in Tennessee losing so many close games this year. It's all hearsy, but I firmly believe the Vols beat OU and UF with a healthy Maggitt. The margin of defeat was so slim, in both games, that literally one timely sack from Maggitt could have made the difference.

I wouldn't jump too quick to condemn here. In all probability this writer from Indy has no clue about what has been brewing with this Title IX lawsuit. Being from Indiana, he most likely has absolutely no idea about the full back story and how the Plaintiffs really have been grasping to make a case. In this same article the writer mentions that Peyton Manning was named in the suit so as to diminish Maggitt's role further.

Personally thought Curt would have been a great fit with Pitt or Baltimore as a third down pass rush LB.
