I'm willing to drop back on D if someone wants to try their hand at center.

well i think i'm done with it for a while after last night. i love playing back on D but when 85% of the time i leave the D zone last to make sure we're clear and i don't even make it to our blue line before i have to turn around and try to make a play on someone cause we went in and crashed the net trying to poke one in again and they got a quick outlet, it gets old fast. everyone racing up all the time for a fast break gets really aggrivating.

Well I think that you should start playing foward some, I am an excellent D man and started out with this game playing so. I like playing D and would like to give you and others the opportunity to start scoring more and playing up. I am not looking at going to D to control the puck from there or anything, I just think that the wealth of scoring should be spread out and you guys need to play up front to get more opportunities. Dont worry about me though, I will still get some shots myself:)

well i think we all know by now that puck handling isn't my strong point so therefore i'm not going to be charging into the net every time down the ice. i'm going to take a shot from a little further out. it's not about position playing it about rushing in and trying the same shot over and over and over and over every time down the ice. to be honest, and this is to no one particular, it gets pretty boring sitting back watching two guys doing circles around the net.

I agree. I think that I do that way too much and I need to step back to the blue line to have a change of pace. When you are up front, you get caught up in trying to score a lot that you loose focus on involving the whole team and slowing it down. Maybe with a little position change, we can slow the pace down and play better team hockey

we've been saying that for over a month now and we'll go into a game and after "team" hockey doesn't work for the first couple of possessions it's like we automatically abandon it and go back to a fast break and that gets really frustrating to me when i'm playing D. i end up having to either stay back or take a chance and rush into the zone if i see an opening which most of the time leaves me vulnerable to getting burned.

Well I will get on the D line and you guys can play up front. I think that I get carried away trying to score and set up cross crease that it causes us as a whole to totally loose the tempo that we want. I have no problem playing D and I will do a good job and we wont see any letup as far as the defense goes.

i don't mind playing D because, i think at least, i'm pretty good with it and you are one of the better offensive players on the team. i know a few times cobra was trying his hardest, maybe even too hard in some cases, to get me the puck but if i do get it and put up a shot from further out it's almost pointless if i have to shoot through all of their players crowding the net plus ours.

Well I have been reading a lot of the impressions from the newly released patch that has come out for PS3 users and should be out this week for us. Everyone is impressed with how easier it is to score from the point with good slappers. There is a higher probability of it going in the net or being deflected with the new patch. I think that we should have a new stategy to limit the cluster between the d and the goalie. Everyone that I have talked to that has the PS3 and NHL absolutly loves the new scoring ability of the slapper.
