NFL Draft Format

I don't think I like this. Usually I build my Saturday around the draft, as it is a big event. Now I won't have the chance to go to a draft party. Some of the excitement will be gone.

goodell's a jerk. and if he only has to do the draft on thursday for a few hours at night and still gets his full weekend off, then he's much happier - that's all I can see him doing this for.

I don't know if anyone remembers but the first year he did the first round of the draft, he said something at the end pick that you could tell he was upset that he had to be there almost 4 hours and didn't want to have to do it again....

Now, maybe these idiotic NFL people will get it together and start drafting Ainge types earlier and playing them more. Clearly the scouts are idiots for overlooking his overwhelming Senior Bowl appearance.

this is the best news i've heard about the draft in a long time. basically the first round used to take like 6 or 7 hours where now it will be much less. i'm not sure why teams needed 15 minutes between picks to begin with. if you don't have a detailed list of your picks by draft day, another 15 minutes isn't going to save your franchise.

i enjoy watching the draft, but let's face it, nobody needs 7 hours of Mel Kiper. this way i can watch the whole first round and be done with it in a smooth 3.5 hours.

RIP faildozer

my friend, i've been a faildozer proponent and there's much worse in the past week he would have seen to in the main forum before even considering this. :)

that was just me venting. I really just dont like goodell at this point...so sometimes it comes out as gibberish

they already cut the 1st round time down to 7 minutes a pick which cut the 1st round down to 2 hours most if i'm right. He also moved the 3rd round on to day 2. Believe me it was already well shorter than it used to be.

And believe me, he's shown signs before that he doesn't like to be there for a long time
