As unexpected as the Clarett pick was, I think Auburn having all those guys go so high was just unreal. Who ever heard of one school having two running backs go in the top 5 of the same NFL Draft??
Auburn's showing in the first round was impressive, but the biggest shocker by far is Maurice Clarrett going as high as he did. That was out of this world.
Also, Rodgers' drop was to be expected once it was known that Smith was going first. Most teams inbetween 1st pick and 24th had too many glaring problems elsewhere to worry about a QB.
