Both teams last night were passing teams, hands down, and that netted the NFL the most watched Super Bowl in history (106m up from 98m last year) and the highest rated TV show in history. So Goodell is making a definite push to turn the NFL into a head-to-tails passing league. Practice follows the bank.

there's also a method too called if it ain't broke, dont fix it (especially if it's already earning a ridiculous amount of money)

Keep in mind this is also the came Commissioner that might lead the NFL to no-season in 2011.

I assumed this was an Onion article. Silly me.
No kidding. I was hoping the article was going to tell me that he wanted the NFL to go old school and get down in a four point stance.

Perhaps they should name an "all time quarterback" to reduce the amount of players who are on the field in any given game. This would certainly cut back on the number of concussions.
