NFL betting is a huge business, and there's the potential to make a lot of money, so I thought it would be cool if we had a thread about it in here and bounced picks and ideas off of each other. Any games yall like this week? I'm considering taking the Jets -5. I feel like Oakland will struggle with a rookie QB and the Jets pride themselves on their defense. Not to mention the time zone difference. Only thing that bothers me is it kind of gives the feeling of too good to be true and we all know how that typically turns out.

Haven't gambled on any NFL games except for a game that is currently going on

Here's a couple of things i've learned from gambling.

- Huge money to be made in College Football during week one.

- Huge money to be lost in the NFL during week one, week two is much better.

- Never talk about how good your wager is looking while the game is still going on.

Completely agree, I think it's easier to bet college week 1, NFL week 1 you never know what will happen. I ended up not doing the Jets game today and I really thought the Jets would blow Oakland out. Starting to look at college week 2 Georgia opened as a 2.5 favorite over South Carolina. I really want to take that because I feel like it will raise significantly but it seems too good to be true and it always ends up biting me in the ass when that's the case.

I'll hop on uga 2.5, I thought the mizzou line against Toledo was too good to be true but it wasn't.

I'll try it again with Georgia next week
