Late in the third we were still down but on a windless day there was a gentle breeze that appeared all of a sudden and left just as quickly. Shortly after Hurd hit that long run past the 40 on our side of the field. I swear at that point my hairs stood on end and I KNEW we were going to win. Robert Neyland wasn't going to let us lose. Call me crazy if you must.

I watched the game in Memphis with a friend who had a General Neyland pin from undergrad.The goal was good luck, but I scoffed at it. I apologized to the the pin at half time.....

I hear ya man.

I touched his statue and gave a really good military salute. That was the difference 😝

I had no idea the coaches and players participated in the victory. Thanks to the guys that pointed that out. I am now a better person.
