Watching College Gameday in Austin and their stadium looks really good on TV. They’ve added a lot of brick to their facade around the stadium since I was last there.

At what phase in the Neyland Stadium renovation does Tennessee beautify the facade on the South and East side? The erector set look makes the stadium look so outdated…and the view from the river is one of the prime shots on TV. The sooner we get that side fixed up, the better.

That vintage 1930s industrial look is part of the charm for me. Ties us to our heritage

The side that has already been done looks really nice.

I may not be remembering correctly so take this with a grain of salt. But I seem to remember that the reason the facade hadn’t been done all the way around was less about money and more about some unique engineering challenges.

True, but you really can't polish a turd. Just 200 years away are hundreds of homeless vagrants.

No one is talking about polishing it. The plan is to finish the brick facade all the way around. There have been plans and renderings. I'm just wondering when it will happen.

The responses in this thread are absurd.
