Its not just the hotel. Its the tickets, food and drink, hotel, and fuel. I live 6 hours away so I cant really drive in for the game and drive home.
It’s definitely $1,000+ for us to go to a game. If we stay anywhere downtown, it’s nearly $800 just for the room for Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets are usually $300 for a pair. Factor in dinners, gas, etc and shopping for Vols gear and you’re quickly approaching $2,000.

I know what you mean. I try to hit Atlanta for a cubs/braves game every year. It's less than 4 hrs, but still need to stay for a night.

Well you can always slip an extra large brat in your pants and wink at the ticket girl when you go in.

A couple of years ago when we came from behind and beat Florida before the game started and we were heading to tailgate with friends we were walking behind a few coeds from one of the parking areas. One especially I almost tipped for the show. I would have made it rain but I was afraid everybody else would pick up her money. Then was the time for a good WOOOOO!

This is why we need a dislike button that you don't have to like first to get to use.

Ignoring the message works better. Creating a button encouraging more rudeness than we already see on VN doesn't make sense. When I see a book at the bookstore I know I won't enjoy reading, I leave it on the shelf. I don't go asking the store manager for a shredder. Closing your eyes also works. Let's call it what it is. The sole purpose of such a button is to serve as a psychological weapon to make someone hopefully feel bad. Which says a lot about the person insisting on it. That's to be expected in this age of Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos, Maury, and Bill Cunningham trash mentality. May VN never stoop that low.
