I plan on attending the UT-UK game as a prelude to our honeymoon. Having never been to an actual game I was curious if there are some particular sections that I should look at for maximum enjoyment. I just want to try to get my wife snagged on the Vols (she is Kentucky born and bred) and have the best view possible. Any recommendations would be gladly appreciated.

I've sat EVERYWHERE and frankly...not a bad seat in the house. BUT...for first timers...view of JumboTron is preferred.

Approx row 50and up is under the overhang in the lower bowl if it rains. On the south end there are TVs if you can’t see Jumbotron. East side is brutal for sunshine, but by KY game it’ll be fine. Hard to go wrong.

Congrats on the upcoming marriage, OP.

In all honesty, it all depends on how the season is going when dealing with the UK game. It's in November and it can be a "good" atmosphere or a "meh" one depending on the season and the weather.

Thanks. We got married July 7th. Had to postpone our honeymoon though due to other obligations.

They still have a picture of Butch here.. Besides that, it's a pretty good site to see the views from a section.
Click on the section, then on the seat. A little camera icon shows up and you can see what the field looks like from that seat.

You can usually pick up tickets in the AA, FF, EE sections for a reasonable price and they are great seats

I would personally recommend a section in the lower bowl, north endzone corner, Z-11 through Z-15. By the UK game, it will likely be a bit more brisk temperature wise, and if it is a day game, then you get the benefit of being in the sun. From the north endzone you also have a clear view of the jumbotron, and a good view of the field from a depth perception standpoint. If you can snag seat right under the lip of the overhang, then you are also protected from the rain without forfeiting the above noted advantages.

upper deck, first row, as close to the 50 as possible. Home side will be shady (and probably cold) all game, away side will likely be in the sun (and likely still cold) all game. Those are the best seats in Neyland though. Close enough and high enough to see the plays forming and what’s happening, easy shot of the Jumbotron, no one in front of you laying against your knees and easy access to gonget beverage or food even if you aren’t on an isle seat.
