Neyland Sadium Question

Have 2 sets of tickets offered for the UK game, need to pick between the two. Normally we sit way up high but both these tickets are lower bowl, in fact they're both in the first 3 rows. With that in mind, would you rather be in section D or section R?

Do you want to sit behind UK's bench or UT's?

Sec. D would be behind UK, R would be on UT's side.

Also, if its a day game, Sec D would put you in the sun, if that's the kind of thing that bothers you.

Given the choice, I'd pick D just because its a little more centered on the field.

Seats would be better if you could get above the first 5 or 10 rows. Both options are good seats though. D is obviously a little closer to mid-field. R the sun would be to your back. In D you would have cheerleaders in front of you and in R the dance team in front. Dance team is a better option to watch IMO.

Thanks for the info, someone told me D was the student section, is this true? It's not a big deal one way or another just wondering about expectations.

It used to be but I think when we switched sidelines they had to move the student section over one section and it now starts in E.

do you need to sit near your "own kind"? you will seriously be able to get tix on day-of for $10

na, I've been to Neyland for years, just never lower bowl. Never once have I had any sort of bad experience - I bet Bama or Florida fans get it worse than UK fans at Neyland but most people razz me until UT pulls away then they feel bad for me - it's not been that way last few trips to Neyland, now we all just sit around and complain about how much we hate our respective teams.

I mainly wanted to know because my wife may go this year and I didn't want her first trip to Neyland to be in the student section.

What I meant was if your a Kensucky fan, I'd take the D seats so your closer to the players and the few fans that will show up. Unfortunately we're both at the bottom of the barrell so really all we can do is complain about the Bama, Florida, and LSU teams!
