my greatest single experience was last year's cal game. it was my first neyland experience and the loudest and most electrifying place i've ever seen first-hand.

every game day when i walk down from my room and find the streets covered in orange. then i drink whiskey and beer and party all day until me and 20+ friends make our way to the stadium singing rocky top and "it's great to be a tennessee vol" over and over. then we make it to our seats in the middle of the student section and go absolutely crazy with everyone else. i've had whiskey passed back in forth down the rows before. i've seen people try to crowd surf. i've seen fights. it's the best place in the world if you have any sort of hooligan in your blood. call me crazy, but i live for it.

I have posted this before, but I am a easy going guy. But last year after the loss to LSU, a LSU fan got about 2 inches from my face yelling spitting all over me for no reason. So I proceeded to tell him that I hope a hurricane came and wiped LSU off the face of the earth. Does that mean I am going to hell?

Funny...I was at that game too and had a very interesting experience at half time....

I went to use the bathroom and while I was in there a UF fan smarted off to a UT fan about how the game was going and the UT fan knocked him out cold...it was the highlight of an awful day...:)

Karma. haha

My best experience at Neyland...Been to several games, but my actual experience...

Me and a buddy of mine were at my grandparents house. We drove into town. He wanted to see the stadium, so we drove over. Noticed some activity, so devising a plan the gates must be open, we carried the football we had in the car. There was an open player gate or something, as we just walked right in. There were a few players on the field practicing routes, punting, kicking. We headed up to nose bleed, checking everything out, spitting over the side, all that good teen stuff. I guess we went unnoticed. We discovered an empty field and began running our own routes, playing catch, scoring TD's, etc. Back then was still artificial turf. Mid-80's give or take. When we gave out we found out we were never seen, as we got locked in. My friend was tall and lanky and squeezed thru one gate and had to come back cause I couldn't. We ended up, after about an hour, climbing out on chain link wings that extend past the railing on the bridge gates over the gullies, swinging around, and working our way back to the ramp. By the way, that is also how you sneak in if you're brave enough. Best memory I could ever have of Neyland. I ran routes and caught TD's

best: tie for 98 arky and last year's kentucky game-brought my 3 year old to it and he drug me all over neyland, but he still talks about it and loves to sing rocky top.

worst by far: 2002 florida. paid $100 a piece for two tickets down low in the corner of the endzone, paid like 30 or 40 for a cheesy, cheap set of rain gear from the book store, and left PISSED and soaked at half time. walked what seemed like 10 miles back to our car in a sea of rain water and orange ponchos, went back to the hotel, ordered a pizza, and watched the end of the game on tv.

I have two. My very first game at Neyland was in '85 when Auburn and Bo Jackson came to town ranked No. 1. Rushing the field at the end of the game kinda gets you hooked on UT Football. The second is the Florida game a couple of years ago when we won w/ a FG on the last play.

Best: '98 florida, don't need to explain that one

Worst: tie between '03 Georgia when georgia picked up the fumble and ran it back right before half. i'm a true fan though, i stayed til the game was over.

Best game: Sept 19,1992. It absolutely poured down ran after half time of the Ut-Uf game. Then Shuler flipped a short pass to the right to Mose Phillips as he raced down the side line to the endzone. When he got there Mose does the " its about time pose", in the endzone. I was soaked and I believe CBS even lost coverage for awhile, but it was one of the greatest games Ive ever been to. GO VOLS!!!!!

Best is by far last years Cal game. Incredible game. Great seats. I even had the old timers cheering and screaming. They told me i know how to make a game fun.

Worst happened the very next week when the debacle against Air Force happened. I was near the field but i had my eyes in my hands and praying the last 10 minutes. Crazy game.
