Neyland Expansion Plans revealed

what the heck. can they not get rid of that nasty Estabrook hall. you can't have a building right smack against the stadium like that.

I'd like to see them put the VOLS sign back up atop the stadium somewhere. I miss it. When my Dad brought to Ktown for the first time to see a UT football game, that is the first thing I saw when we crossed the river.

Probably should start with getting rid of south stadium hall. Nasty building and it's literally in the stadium.

looks like they are addressing that since they are adding facilities (kitchen) in those areas. I think anthropology was housed in there.

Estabrook is not a good building. it doesn't have any redeeming architecture and should be leveled. would be nice to have an open concourse leading into the East side.
Surprised this wasnt resolved in these plans.

Redo the small crowded concourses, go to all seat backs, put in some escalators and enlarge the concessions and start serving beer and jack Daniels!

The article says that it'll stay above 100k but looking at the changes, I'd have to think that the capacity will be right above 100k like 100,001 or something

It will not be above 100,000 because ticket demand will not be at that level.

The baby boomer generation was the boom generation for college football. That will not continue for subsequent generations.

Cut the number of seats, make seats bigger with all seatbacks

agree. There's a few things that Nissan stadium has over Neyland but its not much. Love the elevators to the upper deck. Nice wide concourses. But the best is an actual seat. The only thing bad about a seat is when there's a kid behind you kicking it the whole time.
