Next years QB

I have to admit I don't keep up with the recruits that much. (at least this year). I do follow the the Vols and have since the early 70's. I understand people are upset with this years team.

I actually always preferred Boyd over Nunes so I'm pretty happy with the recent developments.

i think the job is as open as the head coaching job is. realistically, as a head coach, you can try just about anyone under center in your first year. could be a huge success with the right qb decision and the right offense.

so many things pending on how good or bad next season could be.

Just wondering if we have any top QB prospects committed. I think if we had a better QB and a couple offense linemen we would have been in a lot better shape. Dont matter who we have as a coach we have to have a good QB. Perhaps Clausens offense was to complex for the offense to execute. I just dont think a coaching change will fix the problem however it will be a change hopefully in the right direction.
Next yr's QB better be lined in steel and a force field around him so he can survive playing behind our OL.

Thanks everyone for all the great info. I guess I showed what an idiot I am. I would of rather have Nunes but I am sure he will fit in at Stanford. Hope Boyd works out. I figured if Fulmer would have been coach next year he would be changing Boyd to a different position like he did James Banks, Berry and Jones. If Boyd can be another Tee Martin that would be great.

Boyd is better than Nunes. What film have you looked at?

Let Boyd start from day one, take some lumps and build toward his junior and senior years.

Don't count out BJ Coleman either. He was recruited by Cutcliffe for a reason. Cutty is the premier QB coach in the country whether you like him or not. Coleman just needs someone to come in and give him a fair shot.

Why on earth are people cracking on this poster for asking a simple question?

I'm particularly amused that someone displaying what appears to be a Nazi officer in his avatar presumes to lead the way in teaching lessons on effective internet use to others. Come on.

Just because the team has gone to pot doesn't mean this board's manners have to follow. That's weak. :bad:

1) that is Benito Mussolini. Close, but no cigar.
2) This

I should have been more observant, but it's just that I don't keep photographs of murderous dictators from any nation around for reference. My bad. Nevertheless, it is a distinction without a difference and the provision of your link only re-illustrated my original point. Thanks for the advanced lesson in board incivility. :good!:
