3 of our best players are out for the year we are still young. If we don't win at least 8 games next year Dooley will go into the 2013 season on the hot seat. No need to panic just yet.

If he doesnt win at least 8 or 9, i don't think there will be a 2013 for Dooley at UT. He will have had his class for 3 years, most of his guys are the starting guys.... if he cant win 8 to 9 in '12 it shows he cant coach. he still has my support though. gonna be a long season......:ermm:

He will be fired after 2013 if no improvement is shown. I'd like to win 8 or 9 games next year, and be winning at least 8-11 games a year consistently after that point. At the very least, he will leave the program in a much better state than he found it.

P.S. I still think he's the right guy.

You think so....? Who said so? In Your Opinion?

Hell this season is even over with yet and the projection is Hot Seat for 2013. Lets play the games.....of what ifs he beats LSU.....and beats Ark and SC....this year....wow....would that change mines....what if there is an upset and this team 8-5....with a bowl win....you are talking a whole season and a half ahead.....

In Your Opinion....What if he fires his entire staff....In your opinion.....deal with it....I can understand why coaches don't want to come here and coach.....

We don't want give a man with integrity and honor a chance to win.....recruit and develop....Right now this staff has so much to teach it is a fire-hose effect on these freshman and soph...it is hard to teach them everything they need....You normally have upperclassmen that help in the coaching process....esp during the games.....

Kiffin ran a lot of Fulmer's players off and some off them could have helped. That's according to Doug Matthews.

I disagree....he should be measured on his coaching performance after the 2013 season (if that is required). His first year here was a mess for recruiting and should not be a measuring stick.

Let him put his seniors and juniors on the field....measure his head coaching abilities at that juncture....it's the right thing to do in this case.

Zook got fired after 3 years.

and ron zook got caught up in a mess with his players not because he wasn't putting a product on the field it was because he lied to the FL Administration.....

Would Bama, LSU, or UF give Dooley that long? Just a question

Dooley has until the end of 2013 no matter what the result on the field. After that, he will be judged on W&L.

Stop talking about it. It's a non-issue and just creating more drama, which isn't needed.

I would bet yes....IF, he came into a program that was in a similar situation as TN....right???

On the other hand....those programs were not in dire shape when the new guys took over...so recovery was a bump in the road. Not so with UT.

LSU-yes, FL and Bama probably not. TN was in worst shape than either when Meyer or Saban took over. Far worse. Plus, FL and Bama both states have more in-state players than TN does. So, it will take longer.

How many Jrs and Srs were on the field last night...on offense and defense....

not worried about special teams.....I don't count Poole because he has laid down for some reason it is written all over him in his body language.....Parlardy is mental.

He is hurt....

Should say a lot.... a bout this team....remember this is the SEC we probably play the toughest conference schedule this year....

I reject all sports cliches (including 'wait til next year') from dullards with three favorite colleges.

Right.

The fact that he went 8-5, 8-5 and 7-4 had no prevalence. The fact that he lost more games at the swamp in 3 years than Spurrier did in 11 had no role. The fact that the UF AD (who came from Utah) contacted Meyer and had an in-place replacement played no role either.

He got fired because he sucked as a coach and he wasn't producing a quality product.

UT fans seem to like Dooley more, but in the end the proof is on the field.
