I dont think anyone really expects us to beat any of those next 3. I would bet noone expects us to be competative. But beating Florida year one would be a pretty big deal. It doesnt really matter if they are "down" or whatever. Both programs suck, it would just prove that we suck less which we can rarely do against them.

Better win as it's a good possibility it will be our only sec win. Going to get the brakes beat off us the next 3 afterwards. Bama could literally put up 100 if they wanted to. What I've watched of ky and vandy we lose to them. Scar hasn't shown me much tho I think they played Georgia better than we will. Only way we beat Missouri is to shut down drew and don't see that happening. Vol football will be mediocre at best for years. Georgia will be on top of the east for at least a few years as good as Kirby is recruiting and he's no slouch as a coach.

the original comparison was mullen to butch jones, calling him butch jones 2.0 meaning he is the same as butch jones. Mullen won lots of games in the sec west with a historically inferior program. Jones won exactly 0 games in the sec west. And my point to the uk/uf games is that the 31 year history shouldnt matter. Ill simplify it for you. When someone brings up our history with florida it is quickly shot down as irrevelent to this years game. So to me, it looks like we like to use it when it supports our point and dismiss it when we dont.
Much like folks saying ( me bring one) we shouldnt judge CJP after 3 games, but somehow its okay to judge Mullen at Florida in that span.

Lol Mullen has had plenty of big game letdowns but Butch isnt even close to him.

This is the same fanbase that put Coach Mac on the hot seat following his second season...after going to back to back SEC champioinship games. Let there be no mistake there is already a mark against him in his short time in the swamp (whether that is fair or not).

This will be a definition game. This year's edition of the Vols will step up and claim they are either turning it around or just going through the motions. CJP and the older players on this team will find out a lot about themselves after the winner is known this season. I seriously do not know how a coaching staff will put a lot of stock into senior and junior players if they under perform this coming Saturday. If the gators come in and take this game and I'm CJP, the following week, most (note the word most not the word all here) of my starters are sophomores and freshman and older uniterested players relieve them as necessary the rest of the season. If this set of seniors and juniors lay down against Florida there is zero reason to think they're going to miraculously rise up against the rest of the SEC.

Better chance of me becoming the richest person in the world between now and then than that happening. That team has the possibility of going down as one of the all time greats in all of college. If tua would play more than a quarter and a half he would crush records

Game’s at Neyland. I’m not saying a win is likely but don’t be surprised if that game is close deep into the 4th.

The test is going to be can Pruitt & staff keep these guys motivated after this SEC run to improve and play hard. Beating this Florida team will be nice but they’re far from where we or they want to be. They’re probably the worst SEC team Vols will play this yr.

Most important thing Pruitt can do is make this season end with momentum. He needs it for recruiting. That’s the only solution.
