I haven't followed in quite some time, and now that we have a proven coach, I will be a regular follower of Vol baseball.

What are everyones expectations for next year? Do we have the players, but just lacked a coach, or were we short on both good players, and coaching?
Is the SEC tourney a realistic expectation? How about the NCAA tournament?

Pretty sure there's no BCS national championship in collegiate baseball. But I'll take 10 college world series championships.

like football, this will take a while to build back. i suspect cds will sign a lot of juco players to try to get as quick a fix as he can. we will have a few proven players, but not nearly enough to compete for any type of championships for a while. be patient, the wins will start to come probably in 2013.

I think it will be possible to get to the SEC tourney next year. I think it's realistic to be one of the top 8 teams, I do. If we have a fighting chance the last month of the season, I like CDS's chances.

Serrano will REALLY, REALLY have to overhaul the pitching staff....Gruver was really the only solid pitcher all year and he signed already....I'm sure Ramsey will come back which is good

What about Godly?

I think the Vols could finish 4th in the SEC East ahead of the UG Dawgs, and UK Wildcats. I think it's realistic they could make the SEC Tournament if they win their first 3 division series.

I trust Serrano with an inexperienced, less talented staff than I did Raleigh with the Phillies staff.

The Vols could not get clutch hits in most of the SEC games. With a new coach I think that can change.

I know nothing of any current Vol players, but look forward to "getting to know" them this upcoming season. It's nice to have Serrano as the coach. Thanks for posting the tweetvid thing.
