I'm still holding out hope that one day they'll make an Al Capone style Prohibition Era (1930's) game set in Chicago or something like that. I think that would be pretty fun.

You thought GTA4 was overrated? I was thinking of picking it up this week for PS3....bad idea?

After Vice City and San Andreas, the game is way overrated, to me. It gets great reviews from almost everybody, but I think they screwed the controls up. If you played the others and wanted things to be more realistic, then you will probably love it. Whether it be walking, running, or driving a car/motorcycle, I absolutely hate maneuvering myself through the game. I'm sure the story is great, it was just too much of a pain to get through control wise.

I just couldn't get into it, which is a shame because Vice City is by far my favorite game of all time. Maybe I am not being fair because the games just play so different, but why screw with a great thing?

GTA4.....isn't exactly bad, but they did somethings here that didn't exactly pan out into great gameplay. While the story isn't too bad, there's a lot that gets in the way of the story telling. Going on dates, hitting up a strip club with your cousin, and stealing cars are all fun the first time or two. Unfortunately, GTA4 hammers on these things the whole game. As with previous games, much of your time is spend driving here and there which also is starting to get old.

I found the controls to be better in GTA4, though. One of the main reasons I never played much of the GTA series before were the awful controls, especially with guns. It's been improved a bit.

Great game with 101 different things to do? Sure. Something you bore of fairly fast if you been playing all the other ones? Quite possibly.

Which IS better than having to feed yourself and work out on a regular basis.

Maybe it'd be a good pick up for me. I haven't played a GTA game since 2003.

This is obviously an April fool's Joke by IGN. The skyline in the picture is from GTA 4

It very well may be. If you look at the time it was posted 00:01 on 04/01/09, then I'd say there's a good chance it's just a joke. Oh well, I guess I look pretty silly now, I didn't even remember it was April Fools when I clicked on the article and then posted the link over here.

Try and find a good used copy at Game Stop and beat it in less then 7 days and take it back and get something else for the same price.

Shouldn't be all that difficult. That was the main drawback to GTAIV to me. San Andreas and Vice City took me FOREVER to beat, but in GTAIV I think I beat almost every mission on the first or second try.

san andreas took me months to get through

There were several missions on SA that were very difficult. I think the one I had the hardest time with was flying that little remote control plane that you dropped bombs from for that guy that worked in the RC shop in San Fiero, that stupid thing was almost impossible.

San Andreas was an obscenely great game

Course it's a joke.

However, if it were made into a game, all I'd ask is that I'd be able to punch a kangaroo...weariing boxing gloves
