I'm raising a few of them myself, and I can tell you that these kids adore anything and everything UT. I have tickets to the A&M game, and my 10-year-old son remained adamant that we go despite the game getting moved to six days before Christmas. (I've taken him every fall since he started Kindergarten.) Although I have considered casting my vote for change (whatever that may be) by withholding my minor contributions to this program for the time being, I have a feeling that writing is already on the wall one way or the other. There's a fine line between refusing to settle for anything less than our distinguished football program deserves, and displaying for my son exactly the unrivaled passion and loyalty that makes Tennessee fans stand out from nearly all others.

So we'll be there, regardless of what the December weather may bring, regardless of decreased capacity due to the virus and no Vol Walk, Salute, or pregame from the Pride. Despite the agony of recent years, this program always remains just a year or two away from great possibilities because of the VFLs who never quit.

Don’t let the complainers or the underachievement at times drain the fun out of the game for them or you. VFL means just that and our program will be good again

Keep toeing the line and hope for the best. They’ll be grown before you know it and may or may not stay true to the orange. Mine are grown now and while my daughter still bleeds orange while being married to a shiteatinmutt, my son flipped years ago to SoCal. He was born on the left coast while I was stationed there so he does have some ties. Daughter was born in TN but she’s about had enough of the chit show as well.
Son still loves the Vols but quit wearing the Orange about 10 years ago...not that he’s had much to cheer about with SoCal.
