I havent heard anything. I would be surprised if he plays this sunday. I dont think he should. I would rather him stay out a 2 wks and be fully recovered than to come back to early and get hurt again.

According to trainer, will target Georgia or Florida game as a return. Does not sound as though he will be full speed but will be beyond point of risking injury. Significant swelling but significant progress this week. per go vols xtra

Agreed, but if he's out for 2 weeks, we have problems (if last night is any indication) But he needs to stay out as long as necessary.

If he doesn't play on Sunday, don't expect to see him against Georgia. I've heard that the Florida game will be his return.

He'll be a sight for sore eyes when he comes back. If he must miss GA, he'll sure be a welcome sight for FL.

They interviewed him last night on the radio after the game. He said he is spending eight hours a day in the gym working to get it back. he is walking on it but still wearing the boot. He says he wants to be back but at the same time it will do more harm trying to go at 75% rather than letting it heal. But he said he is working as hard as possible to get back. But he was still having a good bit of pain and some swelling.

All this talk reminds me of what we said in November about Erik Ainge. Wearing the boot, working "like heck" to get better and so on.

Soon, someone will probably see him on the Strip with a girl and freak out.

he will be back for the florida game , we don't need him against kentucky or georgia because even if we lose those two games we will still be able to beat florida twice and rematch games with kentucky and georgia and solidify ourselves a high seed in the sec tournament, i know how bad it will look if we do lose another two games making it 6 out of the last 7 but that's why the season is so long so we can make up for droughts like this

Bruce said he was doubtful for Sunday's game, but he's getting better every day. The protective boot is off, so I guess that is a good sign.

"He's been in the training room as much as he's in the gym when he's healthy,'' said teammate Dane Bradshaw, "so that's a good sign.

"It should be the fastest-healing high ankle sprain you've ever seen as much treatment as they're doing.''

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him plat at Kentucky, given the feelings (respect) he has for that program and he would love to beat the Cats again in Rupp.
