So i'm probably getting a 360 for christmas.:) Just wanted to know what games some you guys recommend to get first. I've already made up my mind about getting NCAA Football '08, but would like to get something else to go with it. I'd prefer something that has replay value and takes a good while to beat. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Just to mix it up, Kameo. It can be had on the cheap... if you liked the Zelda games on the N64, it is a good one to play.

With so many good games out you might want to consider a Gamefly account. Keep swapping and keep the ones you like for a good price.

I've been mulling over setting up an acct. for a while. It sounds like an awsome deal in the short run. I wonder if it's really worth it in the long run, though? Also, if a game goes missing in the mail, do they hassle you to pay for it?

If you like RPG's, take a close look at Elder Scrolls: Oblivion or Mass Effect. You'll get your bang for your buck with these.

I logged about 130-140 hours on Oblivion and still was only 75% complete with 2 expansions unplayed!

No, they are pretty much like Netflix and Blockbuster as far as missing items goes. I believe they also support the expediated shipping where they get confirmation of the disc when the post office scans it (again, like BB and NF).

I believe they recently opened an East coast warehouse. Shipping times were always a complaint from east coasters.

It's not exactly cheap, but if you do play a good amount of games it can be worth it. If you get one and want to buy it, you can hop online, play $40 or so for the game, and they will ship your next game in the queue. They will also send you the box and instructions for the one you bought.

Good for folks that don't play through games over and over or online to death. I think Blockbuster stores have this sort of thing but it's more expensive. Might be worth it to avoid shipping times, though.

Guess it really comes down to how much you game and how often you switch around between games. Very similar to Netflix and BB online accounts. I'd personally never have one of those b/c I watch maybe 2 movies a months (and Walmart $1 rentals work out cheaper). But, I've used Gamefly on occasions when I knew a few good games would be coming out over the next couple of months.

That's pretty dang cool.

Definetely Oblivion if you like RPGs. Actually I wasn't even an RPG fan before I played it. Now I definetely am.

Yeah, I work there. My store has it for like 30 bucks, comes off your DEBIT or CREDIT card and you keep the game as long as you want and get unlimited game rentals one at a time. That would be your best bet if you were going to go into that.

have yet to play Forza here, kinda waiting to decide if I wanna get a racing wheel or not.

MUA is a 3/4 view adventure game with alright gameplay, but a crappy camera follow.

I played Forza at a friends house and liked Dirt better. I did get a steering wheel and it helped bigtime for the NASCAR game.

i'm not entirely sure i want to buy ncaa football 2008. i already have it for the ps2 and i'm not sure i want to buy the whole thing over again instead of getting something new like gears or halo. i've played ncaa a little bit but only a demo. for those of you that actually own it, is it worth it? and if so, why?
