I took my nephew to the game last night the first time he has been to a big sporting event. We went down and got him a Vols cap and shirt. We then went to the vols walk he got to high five all the players. When the T split and the players came on the field his eyes didn't leave the field. This kid is from Indiana but he became a vols fan last night forever. I have one more nephew to convert Sept. 22 So if you guys get a chance to take a kid to the game I say do it. Get them while they are young. Help the vol nation grow.

My uncle did the same thing for me in 1992. I was 11. I got a Vols hat and a jersey. We had awesome seats. The 35 yard line 20th row. Perfect place to watch the onside kick go right through J.J. McKlesky's hands, and Arkansas kick the game winning field goal. We didn't even win and I still became a fan for life. Neyland is a special special place. Nothing like watching the team run through the T.

Nice post and sentiment. And that's coming from your enemy!!

The contempt really only lasts one day unless you win the East and its two. Then if you win the SECCG then its three when you play for the NC. Other than that I don't have a problem with Florida the other 362 1/4 days of the year.

I love all these middle schoolers and kids at the mall wearing Florida, USC, Texas stuff.
They've never even been to those states.
