I use internet explorer, and no I have dial up. It's naturally slow anyway, but it seems even slower than normal this morning. Of course if nobody else is having trouble it may be my ISP. I'll let you know if it dosen't clear up.

The screen I usually use for VN is 1280x1024. There was just too much open space on the right side to suit my eyes. I also switched VN over to my laptop screen and the reg 2k7.1 looks just fine.

You seem to be right that FF loads a little quicker than IE.

Yeah, I've thought about another version of the skin for those who use 1280x1024 or higher and prefer to browse full screen.

I may also design a "no frills" skin that's loads really fast for those with slow connections. Of course, it won't look as pretty.

First, freak and others, thanks so much for your efforts on this board. It is very user-freindly, which is a tribute to your fine work.

Second, for me, its back to being a little slow this morning. Not as bad as when the change was first made, but noticeable. My guess is that in about a week I'll be used to it.

Please describe "a little slow". I notice a times I see the orange screen in between clicks for a split second. Can you tell me if that is the issue you are having and how long it's taking?

I'm sure you are on high speed internet. Are you using IE or firefox and can you let me know what version?

I'm trying to collect as much data as I can to help the issue. I don't want the board to be slower for anyone because of this.

That's the problem. Uusually it is just for a second, but it can be up to 3 or 4 seconds at times.

I use IE, but I can't tell you the version. If you could suggest a way to find that out from my system, I'd be glad to look for you.

3 or 4 seconds is waaaaaay to long. How often does it take that long, 1-5 page clicks, 1-10, 1-100 etc?

Anyone else seeing the orange screen for more than a split second?

This might be dumb, and sorry if I step on toes, but have they cleared their cache lately. There is 3rd party software out there that can really help out and speed up your pc. (hurt it too, if not careful) CClearner is a good one to use. Just a thought.

It might not be a bad idea to clear their cache and all temporary internet files since the skin has changed. I'm not sure that's the issue but we should check every possible solution because there is nothing worse, in my mind, than a slow loading site. It's frustrating.

govols182 what type of internet do you have and what browser are you using? How often do you think it's happening?

That orange space to the right of the board still drives me crazy. I say find another place for that ad and stretch the board back out.

are you using the 2k7.1 centered skin? I switched and it was much better

There's no difference at all for me with the 2k7.1 and the 2k7.1 centered. None whatsoever..

It would only be different if you are running a very high resolution.
