This was taken from Sam Venable's column in the KNS today.
-- Speaking of Vol values, allow me to convey this ditty from UT alum Joey Ledford. You'll recognize the tune immediately.
Come and listen to the story of a man named Kiff, a football coach with a pretty wife and kids. Then one day he was lookin' for some fun, when he got a phone call from Mike Hamilton - offering oil money, scads of green, from Tennessee.
Well the first thing you know, ol' Kiff's a millionaire. Kinfolk said, "Kiff, move away from there." Said Californey ain't the place you oughta be, so they loaded up a truck and they moved to Tennessee - hills, that is; crazy fans, no movie stars.
Yes, Beverly! Hillbillies!
Now it's time to say goodbye to Phil and all his kin. We'd like to thank the big guy for so kindly droppin' in. You're all invited down this fall for serious football fun, courtesy of Kiff, his paw and Ed Orgeron - Tennessee style, kickin' butt, knock your helmet off.
Ya'll come back now, ya hear?
