SIAP. I didn’t see one glancing down this forum but I might have missed it. There are a few minor rules changes for the upcoming season (yes we are having one).

I love the one that I’ll call the Saban rule. If I’m understanding this correctly, when there’s less than 3 seconds left in either half, the clock is supposed to restart on the ref’s whistle, and the clock runs out then they will not put time back on the clock even if replay shows 2.9 seconds should be left. I get the idea but it should be more like 1 second. 3 is a little much. You know Saban is spending a lot of time making sure his clock operators know how to use that rule to their advantage. Watching his reaction in the Auburn game last year was priceless. Most of the other rules don’t mean much. The replay time limit is a joke.
