New OC candidate surfaces for OC...........

There for one season. Did not create the malaise SF is in. He does not call plays and does not control offensive philosophy. In two years HE DID turn the QB around in New Orleans.
There for one year and by most accounts made a positive impact before the HC was terminated. Again, might have been part of the solution but in no way was responsible for the problem.
There for 4 years. Did not inherit a great offense. The last two years FSU was in the top 10 in the country. They were one of only 6 teams in the history of college football to score 50+ in 4 consecutive games. Hung 42 points on a USC team that prior to playing Texas was being touted as the best college football team EVER. That was the most points USC allowed that year. Texas scored 41 and there's no arguing that Texas' O got more help from their D.

Next highest was ND (31) in the Bush-push game.

He has the right philosophy and when given a little time has been successful. He's very aggressive both in his approach to coaching and playcalling.

I don't know if he's the right guy or not... but it does seem to me that you make a habit of speaking without opinions that are supported by fact.

Beat me to it. What do you think of Loeffler as an OC?

Does anybody realize that Michigan's offense has been similarly average like Tennessee? Keep em away.

You didn't ask me, but seeing who is left Loeffler is my first choice unless we interview Hatcher or someone else who is more dynamic than the current candidates.

I don't know. I think it is the next thing to hiring someone off the UT staff now. I see alot of parallels between Mich under Carr and UT under CPF.

I think the main focus if Cig is OC should be a position coach with established recruiting credentials in a rich area... maybe Virginia, Ohio, or the area from Memphis to NOLA.

Sorry, I know Cignetti hasn't been posted up anywhere, but doesn't that say something? If he were THAT good, people would keep him around.

I'm not saying the guy can't coach, I'm just saying that I haven't seen the results from someone he's coached to make me think we should settle for a guy who hasn't proven himself in a similiar situation.

Just found this on ESPN, I think we have our answer!!

Former Miami head coach Cam Cameron may not be out of work for long.
Cameron, fired as the coach of the Dolphins on Thursday, will be in demand as an offensive coordinator for at least two teams -- the St. Louis Rams and the San Francisco 49ers -- team and league sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
San Francisco has an interview scheduled Monday with former St. Louis head coach Mike Martz, who was recently let go as the offensive coordinator in Detroit. Cameron, sources said, is also on the 49ers' mind.
St. Louis is seriously focused on Cameron after head coach Scott Linehan fired offensive coordinator Greg Olson, sources said. The team has not announced Olson's dismissal, nor the firing of offensive line coach Paul Boudreau.
And one more team could get into the Cameron sweepstakes: Dallas would need an offensive coordinator if Jason Garrett, who has interviewed in Baltimore and Atlanta, gets a head coaching job.
Both Olson and Boudreau, highly-respected assistants, were informed of their terminations prior to the weekend, sources told Mortensen.
What's our answer?
