I have no sources but a couple of alumni with no pull and this is my opinion of how Hamilton's list looks coming from all the radio shows and the 20 plus papers i read a day online.

1. Butch
2. Gruden
3. Lovie
4. Brian Kelly
5. Brewster
6. Leach
7. Mushchamp

The reason Leach is so low is everyone seems to think Hamilton is not big on him simply because of his lack of communication with the media and is worried to death he may not be a fit with the donors here and most of all he fears he may not be able to recruit at UT. And Kiffin isn't on the list simply because I have yet to hear anyone from any type of media source mention him as a valid candidate. And if Brian Kelly isn't our next coach that simply means he will be at Penn State in 2-3.

Awesome. I now have an identity on Volnation I can claim: "Alumnus with no pull"

I like it - I think I'll stick it in my avatar

big difference between talking theoretically about the skills of coaches that probably aren't available and putting together a list of coaches which you are selling as the list that is actually being considered behind closed doors in the athletic department. if you can't see the difference, i really can't help you, buddy.

I guess a lot of us can't see the difference.

i guess a lot of you don't have a grasp of basic logic.

for the intellectually challenged, it comes down to this:

making lists of coaches that are allegedly being considered is claiming to know inside information that none of us really have, whereas talking about the skills and theoretical buyout prices of coaches in the SEC doesn't presume any inside information.

to be even more basic:

i am not saying someone IS being considered; i am saying someone maybe should be.

big difference.

I see a list as someone's guess or someone's preference of what coach they want. Why does a list have to be made out to be something bigger than that? It's a message board that just so happens to be free to join. If you want to start your own site then you can make the rules, otherwise get over it. Until Freak or someone else with authority changes the rules than I guess you really have no say in the matter.

.

The OP went out of his way to preface his list by pointing out that he has no inside information....a point that would be easily missed by someone who lacks the reading comprehension ability of a 2nd grader.

Furthermore, suggesting the "theoretical buyout" of guys like Richt, Meyer, and Miles is far more ridiculous than ranking the likelihood of real candidates like Gruden, Davis, and Kelly.

if you read the OP, that's not how this is being presented. it's being presented as hamilton's current list, not the OP's preference.

and yet the next thing he goes on to say is that this is how hamilton's list looks. who's got the reading comp problems?

i know you struggle with comprehension, but don't put words in my mouth. i never said that any user should be banned or censored for posts like this. i merely suggested that the value added is minimal and these posts are speculative and self-important. in light of that, i suggested that people not make these types of posts.

Speaking of putting words in a person's mouth. Where in the hell did I say anything about banning someone or censoring someone? You must struggle with facts.

No, he doesn't say "this is how Hamilton's list looks."

He says "This is my opinion of how Hamilton's list looks."

See the difference there? Try real hard...

Ya see, in your warped understanding of what he typed, you're inferring that he's making a statement of fact...yet, in the literal interpretation of the text, he's merely stating an opinion.

This is some pretty advanced stuff, so don't beat yourself up for not understanding it. With a lot of hard work and a miracle, you'll get there.

Basic innuendo drawn from the above.

Which does not suggest that you should be banned or censored it means that while you whine about the op, there is nothing you can do about it. Actually, it is the opposite of censorship, I was supporting the op for having their opinion. Then again, I know you have a hard time with facts so I'll give you a pass.

I haven't made a list and agree with you, but calling someone intellectually challenged while never bothering to capitalize a single sentence in a multiparagraph post seems to be a little silly.

Um, can the DUH police please step in?

It goes without saying that anyone who posts a "Hamilton list" is giving his opinion on the matter, and not providing us with actual facts. My point his opinion on Hammy's list is useless because it doesn't get us any closer to knowing the real candidates.

Just like your opinion that we should try and buy a current SEC coach was worthless?

What the hell is wrong with you? The OP said it was his opinion. If you don't want opinions stay away from chat boards.

You used to be nice.

Please point me to anywhere in that thread where I say we should pursue an SEC coach.

In fact, the thread is a discussion of who others would want, which later turned into a discussion of the impact of various SEC coaches on their respective programs.

You started an earlier thread about why don't we look to buy an SEC coach. That's 100x more worthless than this thread you called worthless.
