Well I have a new found respect for Vol fans who are flying the colors outside the great Volunteer state. Jumped down south to the beach for a couple of days to get away for a bit in the panhandle of Fla. We drove and of course I was flying the colors and logos as usual. I have been in other states before sporting the colors and have had some crude comments made my way and I normally just throw something back their way and we all laugh and go on. Little bit different this time, I couldn't go anywhere with out someone giving me a look, or slinging a bomb at me, it was OK the first day or two but got old after a while, so props to you out of state Vol fans, you have a new found respect from me.....I thought trolls were only on message boards though.

I almost always show some TN color, especially during shorts weather. I get the occasional comment, but it is mostly good-natured. Here in Big XII country there seems to be an undercurrent of SEC fans sticking together somewhat.

It turns out one of the umpires in my church softball league is a Georgia fan.

the umpire in our tourney this weekend in DC asked me if mine was a Tennessee T. I said it was and thanked him for not asking if it was Texas. He said "I'm a UK fan so I would know that ugly thing anywhere."

Yeah, I have to put up with the TX thing quite a bit. I am pretty good at dealing with it now.

Yep, the Gamecocks and Bulldogs down here in Charleston give me grief all the time. Can't wait to prove them wrong! Go Vols!

Sporting colors here in Orlando always receives a response. But hey, not going to change the wardrobe now. Invested too much money.

Nice to know other real UT fans live in the big D. I get sick of hearing about the big XII or the "big let-down."

I've got Vol logos on the cars and fly the flag on my porch during football season. There's several other cars running around down here sporting Tennessee swag too. My neighborhood is pretty cool, we've got georgia, lsu (x2), kentucky, alabama and tennessee represented on my block.

You should try being a Florida fan in Chattanooga. Mutts just South, and y'all just North. Haha.

The Power T is quite common here in Jacksonville. I do catch a lot of crap though.

I've got a Tennessee Alumni license plate frame a trailer hitch cover with a power T. Casual friday and weekend attire includes a power T 99% of the time.

I got some good friends in Orlando that are die hard Tennessee Fans....And they get hated on all the time....My buddy played Baseball for UT he was a pitcher. He got the State of Tennessee Tattoo under his left arm by his elbow and a Heart right where Knoxville is....And he told me no matter where he goes he will always remember where he came from....He tells people "Home is where the heart is" and points to his tattoo.....
Once your a Vol always a Vol...:eek:k:

I basically cannot go out in orange without the comment from and Ohio State fan. I typically just simply reply to the fact that OSU is 0-12 against the SEC and move on from there.

Sounds pretty neat. Do you know if he lives on the east or west side?

I live about 7 miles south of Lexington. I'm right in the middle of wildcat country.

My truck and car both have UT decals, front license plates, and license plate frames. My truck has a personal plate that says "Go Vols."

I've been flipped off, cussed at, and had objects thrown my way. Of course, I'm told before football season by UK fans, "this is the year." After we beat them they come back with the typical, "we're really a basketball school."

I absolutely love driving around the Rose Street area on game days and flying my flags. I guess I bring a lot of the ridicule on myself.

That should read, "Geez people go back to your shanties."

No, they just don't get it... they just keep on bickering and trying to make up excuses. My favorite is, "Big Ten football is real NFL style football because we play in the cold weather. I'd love to see and SEC team play in the cold"

I actually went to a Suns v. Smokies game yesterday (minor league baseball) and was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of UT gear. Albeit The Smokies are from Knoxville, but hey, it was a nice sight to see.

Now last year I went to the Colts v. Jaguars game wearing a UT hat and my Manning UT jersey. I was shocked that only one colts fan that I ran in to actually knew what I was wearing other than UT gear. I also had a pleasant exchange with the punk that screamed "go back to Tennessee Fa**ot!" as we were leaving the stadium.

Oh, and I also dated a girl last year on the sole reasoning that she was a Vols fan.
