New Corvette Concept

It's tough to explain why, but they're different. The Viper and the Corvette don't have the same target audience.

The Viper, simply put, is by far the best performance car the big three have put out in the last quarter century or so.

But the Corvette is a brand name. Crappy as the new concept looks, there are a lot of people out there who will buy anything with the twin flags on it.

Yeah, Im sure the real corvette will be much changed from the concept. They usually are.

the major difference is that the corvette has always been a high performance daily driver, or that has been the target. The viper has never had any misconception of being anything more than a balls to wall foot on the floor bull on wheels.

Yep - I agree. As bad as these companies seem at times with regard to marketing, there is a plan behind the approach.

The vette is certainly aimed at a different segment than the Viper. Plenty of vette drivers buy it for the performance and features in addition to the brand image.

That being said, the brand image buyer label can be used on just about any car purchase.
