what is that Blavitch guy who commented smoking?
were there really 25 thousand 'Bama fans at Neyland?
Geoff Calkins is one of the 3 or 4 sports columnists on my must read list. Here's another good read with a similar conclusion, I always love me some Calkins...
Bumbling vs. 'Bama too much for Fulmer? : Columnists : Memphis Commercial Appeal
I'm sure there were 106,000 sold. There is now way in hades there were that many people there tonight.Well according to ESPN's box score there were 106,000+ fans at the game. I'd say around 25,000 Bama fans is a decent ballpark guess. Probably more in the 15-20,000 range. I was also repulsed at the number of Tennessee men or women walking around with their spouses clad in crimson. That is just grotesque.

Peter Vecsey, Gregg Doyel, Mike DeCourcy, Andy Katz, and Ray Ratto. That's good to hear. I had been undecided on whether or not I liked you Hat because you are so opinionated and I often disagree but Calkins is my boy (we are actually in contact every now and then) and if you're a fan then I'm more inclined to be on board with you.
And yea there is absolutely no way there were 106,000 there.
Who are others on your must read list?
Before a Chris Low or whatever talking media person goes on record about his/her beliefs about a coach's future, I would think they would have some credible sources. This is their means to pay the bills and chosen profession. If they go spouting off about a program they are paid to cover, their future for stories will be short lived.
Lol. So no speculation ever, right?
Chris low is probably david climer's source. They flip more times than a pancake.I just believe they speculate more cautiously than some message board poster. If you track Chris Low's comments, he has gone from Fulmer will be back to now he believes he will not? One of his program connections is telling him enough to speculate in the national media when asked.
