OU and Florida didn't get ran out of the stadium either. They both lost close games. Tennessee got demolished

If we beat USC on Thursday night, we become the first bowl-eligible team of 2007.

I'm all for Kentucky getting props for being vastly improved, but in my mind they are in the top 10 at least a week too early.

We had a chance to tie the game early in the 4th quarter, you call that getting demolished???

Sometimes I wonder...

We had a chance to tie it in the 3rd quarter and then lost by about 4 TDs. That's getting demolished.

Kentucky should expect to beat S Carolina Thursday night. I think they'll get it done.

That's going to be a tough one . . . on the road at night against a good defense with a short week of preparation.

Considering my example the entire time was the aftermath of the Cal game, I'm not sure why you are jumping to the Florida game, go back and read. I never even mentioned our game vs Florida, and surely you are smart enough to figure out which game I'm talking about by my earlier post, or, are you?

We had a chance to tie the game in the 4th, lost by 14, that isn't being demolished.

Again, I was comparing our drop after Cal to UF's and OU's, if you read, you'll see it. If you just attempt to post a smartass comment, then you won't, it's pretty simple.

man this poll is weird... anybody who plays NCAA knows what im talking about when i say that about 7-9 years into your dynasty you start seeing teams like USF, Cal, Kentucky, etc.. who never have that much success in college football and u see them like in the top 10 consistently and u think to urself that will never happen.. but...

we were in the Cal game for all of 5 minutes. we blew our chance. That game was nowhere near as close as the score makes it seem. I really thought the point of tying that game was at the end of the 3rd. I'll take your word for it that it was in the fourth.

I do give you credit for calling out a mod like that though.

You are undefeated and control your own destiny, yet your mind is still stuck in 'just got to make a bowl game' mode. Come on man, set you sights a little higher. At least for one more week.

Take it easy. There was nothing remotely smart alleck about my comment. With all the references to Florida, I misread it and thought you were talking about the Florida game. No need to bow up like I insulted your Grandmother or something.

No doubt USC is good, but they have a short week of preparation, too, after playing a hard one. UK was able to put in the scrubs in the 3rd qtr.

My sights are high. I´d love to see a SECCG appearance and a BCS bowl. But I´m old-fashioned---one game at a time.

I was thinking the same thing, Popcorn.

I used to pick what I thought were crappy teams and coach them into top 10 teams. Of course, I thought that was showing the limitations and falseness of the game. Well, a few years ago my team was Rutgers and now they are a top 25 team for the last 2 years. I also used to play with USF, now look at them.

On the flip side, I of course would play with Tennessee and win tons of national titles. Too bad that hasn't come true.

These polls just to reiterate the need for a playoff at the end of the year instead of bowl games. No one knows how good most of those teams really are.

I disagree. I think Cal has shown it deserves to be the #3 BEST team in the ENTIRE nation and deserves a shot at the title after this weekends upsets...

If they finish the regular season unblemished, they're "shot" becomes a reality. However, at UCLA, at Arizona State, USC and at Washington eliminates that possibility.
