Crazy times in college football.

An AP without Tennessee, Florida St., Alabama, Michigan, Miami, Notre Dame....replaced by an AP poll with teams like Cal, South Florida, Kentucky, Cincy, Rutgers, and Hawaii.

only because Wisconsin is ranked ahead of South Florida, Kentucky, and Boston College. The teams that are there deserve to be there at this point.
I know, that is exactly it. None of those teams you mentioned would be top 10 teams in usual years with the teams they have, IMO.

Once Kentucky beats someone of merit....with a defense(Louisville), and with more than one dimension(Arkansas) I'll BEGIN to believe...until then, not so much.

I agree they will be playing a pretty good defense thursday night. Schedule gets tough for tucky from here on out.

If we beat USC on Thursday night, we become the first bowl-eligible team of 2007.

Florida should have dropped farther down than they did. Texas fell 12 spots and Florida only drops 5. I guess they will drop farther after LSU puts a hurtin on them.

Texas' loss was worse than Florida's. Much worse.

Well Arizona State was a top 10 team 10 years ago, but other than that, seeing BC, USF, and UK in the Top 10 is odd.

Anyone else find it odd that:

We lose to Cal on the road, they are ranked higher than we are, and we drop 7 spots.

Florida loses to an unranked team at home, and drop 5.

OU loses to an unranked team on the road, drops 6.

A little bit of bias maybe???

Yeah its a, they were the champs last year bias. As far as OU i think they should have dropped lower. It won't matter for the gators unless they pull one out of their keyster this coming week.

Just more proof that polls prior to at least mid October aren't very reliable.
