Anyone have spare original NES controllers they'd be willing to sell me? I'm working on an art project and am in need of a bunch of them... Figured I'd ask here before buying up a bunch of them on Ebay.

They don't need to work and I'd be willing to pay a reasonable amount of money + shipping.

If this violates any forum rules, I'm sorry, delete this thread.

Man, seriously, take 15 bucks to your local pawn shop and buy 10 of them... Vintage Nintendo paraphernalia isn't as hard to find as many think.

I forgot about pawn shops!!! There's a metric ton of them around here.

This may be easier than I thought. There's a local video game store here that sells vintage games and whatnot, but they were all out of the controllers yesterday.

Yeah, I was craving some Tecmo Super Bowl one day and dropped about 30$ at a pawn shop for a NES and games.

So I went to a local pawn shop and they didn't have any controllers but they had a ton of games.

(I'm looking for 56+ controllers... this may take a while.)

I'm afraid so but see if you can locate a person and buy them out. Try to combine shipping if they will.

Haha... I've found on guy that has a bunch but won't combine shipping on multiple purchases.

I think this project will take me awhile, that's alright, though, I have many projects on my bill... one includes drilling 3080 holes.

I found an NES Zapper (Duck Hunt gun) at Goodwill today for $1.38 that I'm going to turn into a desk lamp.

I will, no doubt. I'm trying to make retro video game based furniture. The lamp should come out great.

Get about 4 power pads for an area rug! :)

Wow... that's a really good idea.

Got any other neat ideas? They don't have to be Nintendo either... I wish I could afford an old arcade system and turn it into a cabinet.

Go to your local flea market. If your near the Knox area the one on Alcoa Hwy has a guy that specializes in old toys/games. Look for the the comic book section, the fat nerdy guy sitting in a chair is the one to talk to.

That would be ever so awesome... if only we had flea markets here in Iowa/Illinois. I've been to several on trips to Tennessee, though. They are pretty fun to just go and check stuff out at.

EDIT: I was looking around the web today and found out that my Nintendo Zapper lamp is not an original idea, nor is using a scale model of a cartridge as the base one either.

Good luck with your project, sounds pretty neat.

I have an original NES at my sister's house in TN with 2 controllers, gun, etc. that still work. She broke it out awhile ago and her and the husband played it and sent pics. Man, I lost so much sleep when I got that thing for Christmas as a youngin.
