with how close this was to being worse than it already was, missing a basketball season is minor. best of luck e-man. hope to see you back next year!

Thats a shame. I was really looking forward to seeing that guy rip down some boards and mess up some backboards, but c'est la vie. :cray:

Good Luck and I hope you can hit the hardwood again at some point. :eek:k:

I have a feeling that E-Man will be back in full force for the 2010-2011 season.

Im not positive about this, but I dont know of any basketball player that has played with an ICD. Has anyone said that Negedu will be back next year? Rockydoc could probably help with this but I think his career is over.

A decision on his basketball career won't come until all of the test results have been evaluated.

Those things aren't placed all very deep at all. There might be a concern about it getting messed up if he takes an elbow to the chest, which seems pretty dang likely. I'm not real familiar with the durability of those things, though.

Actually it is already been said and determind that his UT basketball career has ended sadly. But University and Bruce Pearl will continue to give academic scholarship. Very good. I wish him all the luck.

On a selfish note, this is the 3rd time in Bruce's five seasons that the team has lost a key post player before the season starts. I can't remember the guy who got kicked off before 2005-06. The following year was Wingate.

Good luck to Negedu. Better for it to go down like this than for him to die on the court during a game this season.

Horrible news for such a hard worker. Very happy he's alive though.

Duke Crews we could use him right now.

I hate this, but it's selfish for people to want him on the court. His health should be the primary concern.

Yes.......It's virtually impossible to play any sports with one, especially contact sports.....Very sad to see his career come to an end such as this, especially considering what a super athlete he is.......:cray:

Exactly. His career playing basketball is over -- regardless of what the article is stating. Very sad for him, but at least he is alive and should live a decent life. Just needs to be careful.
