Negativity from fans and media makes a difference

What makes you think a person being critical lives a miserable life?

What would be the world be like if someone wasnt there to tell you were doing something wrong?

If a QB has a bad throwing technique, telling them they are wrong and correcting it to make it better is a good thing

Men were born with balls. Use them

Somewhere, expectations of success or excellence has been portrayed as being miserable. Miserable to me would never enjoy the thrill of success, or the work to improve after disappointment. Just taking life day to day without any joys or disappointments would be pretty bland life.

Uncalled for remark. I guess this show your attitude and outlook on life. I truly feel sorry for you and your family.

I feel sorry for those who think they can judge a person's life based solely on comments from their vaunted ivory towers here at Vol Nation.

I don't know if it's some misguided overreach of your self worth that I would actually value your pity or some silly notion that taking pot shots at someone's personal life on here makes you a better person than others but feel free to continue.

That being said, the offending comment was made in jest(hence the big smiley face) at a person who used the exact same term at me earlier in the thread.

You guys take this whole message board thing entirely too seriously.

You chumps need to be careful what you ask for because it wasn't long ago when we were crying and wondering why we couldn't get top talent to come to Tennessee to play for our team. Now all of sudden that we've forgotten how it was around here just 2 years ago losing to Vanderbilt and Kentucky you want to challenge the players because they are not winning the way you want them to. Challenging the players is going to get you somewhere. Especially when they are they are the ones putting there bodies on the line for our school. Y'all b@#$@#s need to grow up and get a life for real and if you don't like so called bad wins go find a new team. Leave the kids alone! Go Vols!!!

Nice post that does absolutely nothing to refute my notion that the players are 100 % free to not read message boards, log onto social media accounts they have open to public comments, or turn on ESPN if they don't like what they are hearing.

Whats gonna happen when Tabor and company talkin negative down on the field......oh wait! SMH

I answered your imaginary and ridiculous scenario.

With a real and plausible scenario.

My scenario? Good grief you're dense. I'm not even sure you understand what I was addressing...

but you keep doing your thing.

The fact is to this point the team is playing undisciplined and unfundamentally sound. There is no excuse for that in CBJs 4th year. They are very poorly coached.

My tickets average over $250 a piece per game when you figure donation and parking so I have every right to complain when I see this slop on the field (I don't ever engage players on social media or in public when I see them). If it wasn't for us as fans going to games and watching on TV the players would not be enjoying all the amenities the have today. They would have facilities and travel like FCS/DII schools.

When CBJ says fans love is conditional that's BS. We will be here long after he is gone. We will praise them we the do good and call them out when they don't. If not we are not doing our job. But our love isn't going anywhere. Maybe we need to educate him on that.

Exactly. We don't have one of the five largest stadiums (filled for any real game) because we aren't traditionally one of the top teams in the nation. So playing like an average mid-major team isn't acceptable, but then maybe that's what you get when you hire a coaching staff from the mid-major ranks. There's that saying about "act like you've been there" - problem is - they haven't. Recruiting has been good especially if you believe the class rank - largely inflated by class size rather than individual quality, but the development and application ... A lot of our problems go back to poor leadership in the AD - particularly Hammy.

That's not a problem! The players expect that to happen they don't represent Tabor and they could give 2 shiats about what he says out on the field. It's totally different when the fans you suit up for each week disrespects your effort.

The face value on My tickets for this week's game is $95- double of my NFL tickets. You have the ba!!s to charge me that ridiculous price and put that on the field. I will act anyway I want. You cant have everything. If you screw people over and put out a crap product on the field then you are going to hear it!

Someone twist your arm to buy tickets? If its all about the money for you I suggest you find a different team to spend your money on.

You guys talk tough, hidden behind your keyboards. I bet you've never put as much effort in anything as our guys do.

Key word here is play. Just showing up don't cut it.

You have never coached have you?

I was a college athlete (different sport) so I understand the time commitment required and I grew up/played through high school with a friend that made it to the league.

The thing is why be negative when that hurts the team? Be positive get behind the team and help fire them and the coaches up and then there's a good chance we see them playing better and winning by bigger margins. But no most people wants to put them down in the dirt then Bitc! When they play bad!! Cheer up folks and get back to the positives, remember were 3-0 and until we lose we could go all the way!! GBO!!

I think being too positive to the team in the off season has hurt the team. Blowing smoke up their skirts has made them think they are OWED the SEC east. They are playing like crap. The lines on both sides are losing the battles in the trenches. The staff needs to be lighting a fire under their a$$es to get them fired up and get aggressive.

If someone is bashing the players, then I agree, that is ridiculous.

I have only read people criticizing the coaching, and that is fair to criticize results/price being charged.

Like Butch said about high expectations... "own it" and he should.

I am holding out hope that they have just gambled to the point of risking losing games to lesser opponents all in hope to hide plans for big games such as Florida. I think it is fair to come on a message board and say ( in a constructive/non childish way) that they are not being coached well.
