I've done some projections for SEC standings. The Oklahoma and LSU games today are super important if we have any chance.
If Oklahoma and LSU both win :

Alabama 7-1
Georgia 7-1
Tennessee 6-2
Ole Miss 6-2
Texas 6-2
Texas AM 6-2
Oklahoma 6-2

If Ole Miss beats Oklahoma and LSU beats Texas AM

Alabama 7-1
Georgia 7-1
Ole Miss 7-1
Tennessee 6-2
Texas 6-2
Texas AM 6-2
Oklahoma 5-3

If Texas AM beats LSU and Oklahoma beats Ole Miss

Alabama 7-1
Georgia 7-1
Texas AM 7-1
Tennessee 6-2
Ole Miss 6-2
Oklahoma 6-2
Texas 6-2

If Texas AM and Ole Miss both win:

Alabama 7-1
Georgia 7-1
Texas AM 7-1
Ole Miss 7-1
Tennessee 6-2
Texas 6-2
Oklahoma 5-3

Did you forget about Mizz and Vandy?
That game doesn't really matter. If I cared, I'd pull for Vandy just to keep them at 1 loss hopefully when they play us.

But as you can see below, Vandy and Mizzou don't have a favorable schedule so its inevitable they'll both end up with multiple losses with one of them getting that outcome today.

I really worry that OU will wind up not being an impressive win because they could easily end the season 5-7

All those scenarios are a 10-2 Tennessee team.
I’m still in the minority thinking SEC gets only four teams.

Notre Dame
G5- South Florida or ….
B1G - Oregon, Ohio St, Indiana
Big XII- BYU
ACC- GA Tech and Miami
SEC- Ole Miss, Bama, UGA, aTm

If aTm loses then we have a shot if we run table. But there will be numerous 10-2 SEC school imo.

TN Must RUN the Table.

It usually works itself with upsets done the stretch. I don’t see as many this yr though.

I’m not sure that’s the minority - at least not outside VolNation…and it could be three if the games fall right for the ACC…

True. UVA is the sleeper in all this. Big 12 may get two. Notre Dame going bothers me but…. It is what it is. I wish they would be forced into a conference.

Playoffs? Do you have inside info our two INJ corners will return? Until our defense and penalty discipline improve fan focus should be on winning 8 games. I’m not a (-)Vol but this team is far from being a playoff team right now. Hope I’m wrong!!

Even if we run the table, based on projections I have going.. I don’t see a scenario where we are top 4 SEC standing if TXam and Ole Miss win both games today

We don’t have any corners coming back this season…we’ve played 7 games without McCoy and 6 games and 3 quarters without Gibson so essentially the corners we have playing are this years corners
