I am taking my best friend to his first UT game. He is a huge Vol fan and I bought us tix to the Vanderbilt game. I however am a Buckeye fan and need some help. Where is the best place to park and tailgate before the game? Are there any alcohol restrictions while tailgating? If I have my OSU corn hole set and table will I be beaten for my love of the Buckeyes. I ask this because my idiot brethern at OSU are notorius for starting crap with non OSU fans....Please Help me make this trip the best I can for my pal

Keep the alcohol in a cup and the SEC owns OSU so you have no problem there!!

Nobody will care...you certainly won't be beaten...some people may give you strange looks for having all that Ohio St. stuff at a Tennessee v. Vanderbilt game, but it won't be a problem.

But where is the best place to park and tailgate.
Don't get me wrong I love the SEC and am a firm believer that the Buck's have no business as number one with our High School Schedule but I am a true fan and will not waiver but if I did Tennessee is the place I'd be

Come early and I'm sure you can link up with a few groups your age. BTW, do you live or are you from Ohio? My wife is from Michigan and I think this year the Buckeyes go down to the Big Blue.Have fun either way, nice jester to take your buddy BTW.

I think we will be fine with the state up north. I still live in Ohio and we will be down pretty early. At OSU we start around 7 a.m no matter what time the game starts...that could be why we burn couches and riot after a loss..lol. I just want to make sure my buddy and I have a good time. The alcohol rules at OSU games are pretty strict since the last riot after the last home Michigan loss. Maybe we are idiots. If you have time to kill you can go to The hate OSU site and see why Michigan fans hate us.

There is a Walgreens on the strip (Cumberland Ave.) I think it's at the intersection of 17th. Behind there you will find a couple of good parking lots for tailgating- that's where I like to go. $35 a spot, I think.

You will be fine with your alcohol in the lot. Just put it in a cup before hitting the street.

Your OSU stuff will be cool. You will meet a lot of friendly people while tailgating- more so than in this thread.

This "cornhole" talk makes me nervous. Please tell me you are talking about that game with the beanbags and the wooden platforms I have seen at Notre Dame?
