Hey guys. Any and all help is appreciated. I bought a PCI video card and have been trying to install.

I noticed that it will not fit into the current slot that where my original video card is. Should I remove what seems to be a meaningless card attached for an old phone modem, or should I buy the PCI express card and replace the old video card?

You can remove the unused card. Uninstall it from device manager first, then power off and take it out. Put in the new card, start up, install drivers, reboot.

Thanks SuperD. Any reason to remove the current vid card?

If the old card is an add-on card,(PCI or AGP. God forbid it's an ISA card) I would take it out of the machine completely. If it's an onboard card you can't, so just uninstall it or disable it.
