I live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Right now its down to the Braves, Cards, and Cubs. Since we don't have a team in Tennessee, I need help to pick. My dad is a Braves fan, my bestfriend is a Cards fan. I love the Cubs history. Please help give me ideas! Thanks!

reevalute and choose the REDS!!!!!!!!! You can catch most all of the season on tv and their history ranks right up there with the teams you have listed. They are the smaller budget team out of the ones you listed, but they are making huge strides in being a very tough team to beat here in the next couple of years. They are a baseball team with guys who play for the game, where as some of the larger budget clubs have big names who play for money. That is one of the reasons I love watching and cheering for the reds. I am not trying to knock other teams, but the reds a history rich team that have a great deal of loving fans.

also if you became a big reds fan, you and your cards buddy can keep a good rivalry alive. they play each other constantly. the cubs are always doomed to fail, so if you choose them be ready for getting hopes dashed on an annual basis. the braves are good, but the tommahawk chomp every 5 seconds will make you want to kill yourself. and the only good thing left with the braves is their future hall of fame manager who is going to retire after this season. i have nothing but respect for bobby cox. he has been a good thing for baseball.

well, i think i have pitched the reds enough for one day. i hope to see you in the reds thread when you have made the right choice.

Pros to being Reds fan

1) Chapman
2) Your "I <3 Bruce" shirt can pull double duty
3) You might be asked to platoon in left field

Cons to being a Reds fan

1) All those guys "clogging up the basepaths"

Braves all the way man. Makes the most sense geographically and look at what they've got going for the future. Jason Heyward is the next Albert Pujols and guys like Tommy Hanson and Jair Jurrjens are going to be Cy Young contenders every year for the next decade plus. All I have to say about the Cubs is 100 years and counting.
