Hopefully NFS can go back in the right direction. Every since Most Wanted they have went down hill IMO.

This has been getting excellent reviews so far from many different websites. Hope the hype is right. I've been playing NFS since it was Road and Track: Need for Speed on the PS1 and have been very disappointed for the most part in their recent efforts.

I was going to grab this today but 'High School Musical 3 - Senior Year' also came out today. Decisions, decisions....

Solid game in my opinion, haven't messed with online yet, but the career mode is pretty nice. Graphics and the immersion in the game are beast.

I almost picked this one up while I was buying NHL10 today, but was afraid it was another NFS "rice this **** out" game again

How are the crashes? Do the AI cars make mistakes and crash some too? And are crashes visual only or can they knock you or the AI out of the race?

And did I read right that racing AI has 15 other cars on the track and multiplayer is 8 cars? If so that's not too bad but I really wish we could get these racing games up to at least 12 cars online - and 20 would be great.

I play iRacing on my PC which is a great sim game and there are over 30 players online in some of those races. I wish the consoles could eventually get to those types of numbers.

The crashes are sweet, better than Forza 2 imo, but not as good as Dirt 2. The crashes are customizable in that you can have it set to real damage or to just visual. I have mine set to real damage and in a few of the races that I have been in, the AI does make mistakes and has collisions with other AI racers. Have seen a couple of DNF's for AI racers as well. Like I said before, I havent had really enough time to dive into the multiplayer, but I will get to it sometime, lol it is hard when NHL10 is taking up a majority of my virtual time.
