Word is from my ND friend with connections to ND is that Demetrius Jones, the QB that started for ND against Georgia Tech, is a Cutcliffe boy and will be transferring to UT. Not sure how he will see playing time with JC and BJ ahead of him but it something that is out there.

Interesting, wonder what position he'll play

Wasn't this rumor floating around during the off-season? Seems even more likely he'd want out since Clausen has the job secured.

Don't think we'd want him playing QB after his showing against G-tech.. then again ND's offense in general is dead last in Div. I.. so he probably has more potential than that.

Well, here's the thing, he refuses to move positions. Obviously ND could use help at WR and TB right now and he will not move. So we'll just have to see.

Then there is no reason to get excited and think he'll come here then. Crompton, Stephens and Coleman seem to have that position wrapped up for awhile

i tell you what, clausen looks better than his brothers ever did.

Yes - The difficult swing passes he threw to Armando Allen for most of his yards and completions showed his true ability!!!

Casey Clausen.... 2nd in most UT passing record..

Why do we want another running back/quarterback?

Personally, I prefer a mobile QB... Crompton will be nice to see next year assuming he starts.. sure he isn't as mobile as some but I've been spoiled by watching VY for the Titans make people look silly when he gets in trouble from the pash rush.

that's very interesting
He would fit in nicely with Crompton

maybe we could go to more of a spread/run type attack

of course this would have to happen under a new regime
Fulmer wouldn't tailor the offense towards what kind of players he has

I have no problem with a mobile quarterback.

What I do not want is someone who drops back and runs without any intention of throwing the ball. I had enough of that in 04.

A quarterback that is mobile is more dangerous after the read is cycled through and if no one is open crush the defense by running.

McNabb baby!
