NCAA is going after schools right and left now. I think the Bush thing but was the usual snail paced investigation. BUT Mike Garret's defiant attitude, combined with Lane Kiffin's snide disdain for both the SEC and NCAA oversight bodies was the last straw. I think the NCAA is now out to let schools know the sheriff really is in town and plans to clean things up. A sort of letting you know who's the boss thing. As a consequence we are going to start seeing 9if not already) harsher penalties even for infractions that used to garnish barely a wrist slap before.

--Is that the Dragnet theme playing?--

I say the schools revolt and make their own recruiting rules lol

I honestly would like to see the 60 or so best football programs in America break free of the NCAA and form their own league.

I know that's less likely than Tom Brady stopping at a red light, but I'd like to see it.
