U of M cheated soooo hard during their natty season…..

that the NCAA just dropped the hammer on MSU. Had to vacate all 14 wins the past three seasons for playing three ineligible players.

Seems right.

It's worked this way for years.

If one Division 1 program received a slap on the wrist for major infraction, a smaller, less relevant school receives the hammer.

That’s just too funny right there.

NCAA was about to give the Vols The same kind of win vacating punishment when Pruitt was paying players. Then they thought about it and realized that there was almost no punishment in it. 😀

Tennessee would have received the death penalty if we did what Michigan did, but they get a national championship and a slap on the wrist.
Yeah, it boggles my mind how that happened. They were rewarded for a major cheating scandal that went on for a long time. It’s a major stain on their program and really the whole sport.

at the bare minimum Michigan needed to be hit with a post season ban, the loss of associated post season money, and pay back any money from those seasons.

Absolutely, I don’t think I’d ever be in favor of the death penalty, but at least what you’ve mentioned above. That would have been generous IMO. It almost seems like the NCAA just wanted it to go away.

trying to take away their championship never would have floated. and would just create more mess. they had to let them keep that title.

but literally everything should have been on the table. and 90% of what they did was 100% meaningless. slapping show clauses on guys who either had jobs already, or left the college ranks.
