Broadcast Quality

Think about the best broadcast presentation of any sports game and "NFL 2K5" instantly comes to mind. EA is hoping to add "NCAA Basketball 10" into that conversation with not one, but two different network affiliations.

"We have full ESPN broadcast integration for the first time," says Dougan. "It looks exactly like you see on television. All of the intros, fly-ins, movies, graphics, announcers [Dick Vitale, Brad Nessler, Erin Andrews] … all of that stuff you see on ESPN will be in 'NCAA Basketball 10.' Not to mention, we're also doing CBS Sports integration. So that means we'll have two new announcers for the CBS team and that's Gus Johnson and Bill Rafferty. They'll be calling the games along with all of the CBS Sports broadcast packages. So if you're playing through your Dynasty mode, your Monday through Friday games will generally be on ESPN, but your big weekend games will be on CBS Sports. Conference tournaments will switch between the two broadcasts depending on who owns the rights to that specific tournament, and then, of course, the NCAA basketball tournament is broadcast on CBS. It's an evolving broadcast package that will look different from the start of the season to the end of the season. We were really excited just to have one broadcast partner, but by having both, it really brings things over the top and looks amazing.

"Add to that the fact that we got Gus Johnson to do all of his signature stuff like "The slipper still fits!" and "Last chance to dance" as only Gus Johnson can say it, and it's a pretty compelling package. It was fun to sit in on the session and watch him go crazy. I love the announcers in the game this year. It's new, it's exciting, it's Gus."

I have never bought an EA college basketball game. i have always stuck with 2K in that department but they discontinued their college basketball game two years ago. With that said, the presentation with Gus Johnson looks incredible. The demo will literally make or break this game's future. If it is solid, I see no reason not to go out and buy this game.

If they haven't improved the sim engine in dynasty mode, I'm not even considering it. Seriously, NCAA 09 was about the biggest piece of crap for a basketball game I ever bought.

The presentation looks so sick. Now if they can just make some of the mid major programs a bit more accurate.

Like the presentation, but if they fail again to incorporate user lockers for named rosters, it will be a shame

So CBS and ESPN are both within '10?

Yes

I will believe this game is good when I play it.

I just wish 2K still made their version, it was dominant. 2K has just absolutely nailed basketball games. NBA 2K10 is amazing.

Oh, the presentation will be good this year. Bad thing is, my TV is a 19' Magnavox TV that my parents bought in 1995. So that's not all that important, although Gus Johnson on there makes it at least a semi-win.

I want the game to stop BSing me, and calling stupid fouls, while letting the other team basically tackle me and not call a foul.

I'll just find some 09-10 rosters on CH 2k8, and play that. Still the best college basketball game ever made IMO.
