Ok I'm not sure how many of you play NCAA 2008 but i was playing this morning with the all time Tennessee team. I have a question as to who a player is. 1987 WR. He is #7 but i can't think of who that would be to save my life. Maybe Tim McGee?

mcgee also left in 86... for that matter, that's when he got drafted. So his last year was actually '85.

Harper would've been a freshman, but he wore 81 if i'm not mistaken. Only other receiver I know of in '87 would be thomas woods' sophomore year

i think TD woods was #5. i am pretty sure its either clinkscales or cleveland

clinkscales was a senior in 86, cleveland would've been a freshmen. dunno how much he played then.

The game has numerous errors on the rosters. I edit every team and name every year and I always have to change names, heights, weights etc. And looking at the records UT's leading receiver in '87 was Woods but it was not an "all-time" year and besides they usually use the senior year for the player i.e. Manning '97.

i just remember the players, not their numbers... never occured to me that cleveland would've been a frosh that year til someone else brought it up. I would think if it's correct, it has to be Woods. Is my memory failing, or did Woods always wear a turtleneck?

there has to be a site out there that has historical, numerical rosters. this shouldn't be that hard, but its one of those things that i can't get off my mind now. lol. i am searchin......

i thought joey kent was #7, but I think 1987 was before his time??

I was in school in 90... so... i dunno.. don't remember

EDIT: disregard... he was #11

thomas woods would fit the match... he was there during the time, but he certainly was #5 and not #7

Anthony Miller only played in 87 & 88 (JUCO from Calif - I think). He was not listed as a starter either year, but was a 1st Round Draft Pick in the NFL.

I was thinking maybe #7 was a replacement jersey if the original was already taken. I looked for a while this morning for historical rosters but i've yet to find any.

Your best bet is to go check out his size and maybe where he's from if they listed it. I'm a mod on the NCAA forums at easports.com and believe me, the fellow who mentioned the roster errors is right. There are tons of errors on every team with ratings, numbers, year, etc. However, the sizes and locations have been accurate for the most part. I'm not sure if they went through the trouble for the all time teams, but it's worth a shot.

I'm almost positive that Anthony Miller was #7 in 1987.
you are correct sir, and he played the 86 and 87 seasons. he was injured in the kickoff classic game in 87against iowa and did not play again until the peach bowl against indiana. guy was a burner.
